Every individual yacht is based on our client’s dreams and wishes and therefore truly unique. The process from dream to reality becomes a great journey that Azure shares with the client. It starts with a blank piece of paper which gradually evolves into the client’s dream yacht. The definition of the desired experience on board is the first step in the process. Sketches of the lay-out and the exterior character follow step-by-step, while the yacht reveals her most recognizable features. Further into the project, functionality, feasibility and aesthetics join and the yacht truly begins to live. The hand-drawn sketches turn into photorealistic impressions and scale models, to view the design from every angle.
Parallel to developing the design with the client Azure can be involved in preparing the project for construction. Throughout the build process Azure can represent the client’s interests, not only in terms of design, but also overall build supervision.

In the first phase the fundamental qualities of the yacht are defined. This starts with creating a philosophy for the guest experience and overall looks of the yacht. An iterative process follows while working together with the client to sketch the exterior character and initial layout.
During the next phase our designers and naval architects collaborate closely to ensure a more developed, highly feasible spatial planning. Sketches are translated to digital drawings with accurate dimensions, showing the yacht's decks, sections and exterior profile.
In the final design phase functionality, feasilbility and aesthetics join together and the yacht truly begins to live. The hand-drawn sketches become photo realistic impressions and even scale models, to view the design from every angle.
When the design is finished the project is ready for further development at the shipyard. Azure is able to support owners and ship-yards during design development, naval architecture, engineering and supervision.
